India's First Foreign Military Base at Tajikistan

According to reliable sources in IAF (Indian Air Force), the Ayni/Farkhor Airbase located 10km
away from Dushanbe (Capital of Tajikistan) has been fully refurbished and ready to be fully operational.
There has been a change of plans however,it was speculated that IAF will deploy two squadrons of MiG-29 fighter planes
but this has now been downgraded to a squadron of Mi-17 helicopters and some Kiran trainer aircrafts.
However many see this only as a prelude to establishing a full fledged military base
accommodating MiG-29s eventually.The IAF pilots housed in the base will provide training for Tajik pilots.
The proposed military base will give India strategic and economic advantages in energy-rich
Central Asia.

Strategic Importance of Ayni Airbase

• Indian military presence in Tajikistan gives INDIA significant strategic influence in Central Asia
• The Energy Rich Central Asian Region is very important to the growing energy needs of INDIA
• Ayni is very close to Afghanistan and Pakistan is just about 35 km away from Ayni which will help INDIA keep a closer watch on these regions these regions.
• It is speculated that special forces would be deployed eventually which will help INDIA move in quickly in wake of a war or on occasions when national interests are threatened

However both IAF and the Tajik Govt. are reluctant to disclose much on this ...

A Template For my Brother

My Brother Is Launching a new Online PC Shop and he asked me to design a template for him.
And I started to work.
I have been playing around with the menu style for some time, thought of adding javascript floating effect and all but i removed because it screwed up my template.
And finally I am satisfied with the current looks. My Brother hasn't seen this baby yet, I hope he likes it :D

2007-1-30 Beijing: President Hu Jintao has announced his plan on an eight nation tour to Africa.
He would be visiting West Africa's Cameroon then Liberia, then to Sudan in the east ,Zambia, Namibia, South Africa,Mozambique and Seychelles.

Seychelles a tiny island nation in the Western part of Indian Ocean consisting of 115 islands and a population of as low as 85,000 people.
So why is this Island in the high profile list of Beijing ?
Its Certain that Mr. Hu Jintao is not visiting there for a massage or a good vacation.
His visit clearly reveals the growing Chinese Naval Interest in the INDIAN Ocean.
This doesn't come as a big surprise to New Delhi as this wasn't the first time the Chinese were showing such an interest. A couple of years ago India successfully halted a possible Navy assistance form China to Seychelles by offering “INS Tarmugli” at a timely manner and thus avoided what could have caused a serious power imbalance in the Indian Ocean in the future.

Current Situation:

• China is actively indulging with Islands like Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius and Madagascar in order to establish its maritime presence in the Indian Ocean.
• If China becomes successful in establishing maritime supremacy in Indian Ocean, it will be able to prevent India's freedom of movement in its own water.
  
• Such a maritime sphere of influence will give Beijing options for exercising its power as it sees fit, and thus causing serious power imbalances in the region.

My Views:

Time For India to Act Fast to Secure its ocean from the Chinese.

The Only Ocean in the World that is named after a country and its people is the INDIAN Ocean and it rightfully belongs to the INDIANS.

Haj Subsidy Unconstitutional and Nonsecular !!

Jan 18 2007 INDIA: An Estimated amount of over 300 crore rupees is spent by the INDIAN Government as Haj subsidy for Muslims per year. The Subsidy Includes a Subsidized Air Ticket to Saudi Arabia, Free Food, Free Accommodation and so on. On the Other Hand all other religion in INDIA are deprived of any such Offers from the Government.

Recently a business man named Prafull Goradia who is also a BJP MP filed a PIL before the Supreme Court alleging this practice as Unconstitutional and a severe drain on the tax payer's money.

• Such a Grand is only given to Muslims and no other religion in INDIA gets any such favors,which is a direct violation of Articles 14, 15 and 17 of the Constitution which provide equal status to all Indians irrespective of their religion or cast.
• Also the money given as subsidy is took from tax paid by all INDIAN citizen which include not only Muslims but Hindus, Christians, Sikhs and so on and the Article 27 of Constitution of INDIA states that, "no person shall be compelled to pay any taxes, the proceeds of which are specifically appropriated for the payment of expenses for the promotion and maintenance of any particular religion."

It must be also noted that none of the Islamic countries provide Haj subsidies for its citizens.
While the Critics may say Government is doing special arrangements like arranging special trains and buses for occasions like Kumbh Mela, it should also be acknowledged that the Government does this for all festival occasions irrespective of religion or cast every where in INDIA. Besides every devote who goes to Kumbh Mela has to pay the full ticket and the tickets are not subsidized

The Supreme Court has asked the Governments explanation on this matter..
And I will be looking forward to see what the verdict would be...

Haj subsidy as mentioned above is unconstitutional and hence must be abolished

A Few Days ago i came across an incident on the News Paper that a Private School in Kerala run by a Christian management banned the use of Veils and Scarfs by its students inside the campus. Such a move created high tension in the surrounding area and later next day IUML or NDF I don't remember which outfit either way one of them started vandalising the school property and called for a strike which led the School Management to ultimately remove the ban

My Views:

• The Banning in the First Place is Completely Unconstitutional under INDIAN Constitution.
• A case should have been filed against the management for trying to forcibly take away the freedom of religion and the freedom of choice of clothing guaranteed to each and every citizen by the Constitution of INDIA.
• However having said that, I think If this Incident had Happened in a European Country the Ban would have stayed there probably.

• So I Pay for a whole year $59 for the budget package every thing looks good until they refused to give me a domain name as said on the plan description they cited some vague reasons for that.I didn't need a domain as i had one so i didn't make such an issue out of it and I moved on.
• The Speed of my website began to decrease by each day until it came to a point i had to mail them.
  
• Ok so I Mailed they didn't reply me even after 3 days (they claim 24*7 live support in the website) So I Mailed again and this time too they didn't reply. And as i didn't have any money left to move to another host i kept on with them.
  
• A week later my site went down I mailed them they didn't reply after 2 weeks they send an email that servers are back online however the webmail wouldn't be functional.
• Constant Sever Issues occurred and as a result my site was down frequently hence affecting my flow of traffic badly. Every time i email they never replies back, their Customer Support was so horrible.
  
• After a while my site goes down again and this time it goes down for a month (so much for 99% uptime). I emailed them like 50 times and no response, I even thought they had stopped webhosting and ran away.
• After a month and 5 days they send me an email that there was a minor server issue and the site was back online. I thought nothing worse could happen after that and well it turned out to be wrong again, My Budget Plan was changed to an Entry Plan
